Freebie! Little 'Sweetie' Quick Page

This quick page was created with my new Lolli's and Candy Corns. I will have the candy embellishments up for download something this week or next, but to show them off and give you a sample, I designed a quick page. It's in Both PSP and PDS format for the Paint Shop Pro fan or the Adobe Photo shop user. Just add your picture into the Photo layer, and you're set. :) Please link back to jelly bean lane if you post it in a blog or forum so others can download also. ;)

You Can download the quick page here

Downloading Freebies and What not

Dear Friends,

I am still updating Jelly Bean Lane, it's time consuming so please be patient with me.

All of my Freebie Downloads from the Past and recent will be listed on the Freebie Cupcake. I am currently listing and none of them are linked as of yet.

All of the Mini Kits, and Word Arts will be listed there as well. It's taking some time to get them all listed. I have had several requests to relist my older kits, please have patience as I get them all done. I expect to have it all completed within the week or so. Until then, you can still download what is available from the Blog area. ;)

Thank you for understanding.

Rachel

Link Requests and Friends

Dear Friends,

As you can see I am in the process of doing a complete make over of Jelly Bean Lane.

If you have had your blogs listed on my page before, or would like your blog listed here now, Please post a comment with your Blog Name and the link so I can add that.

If you are a PSP Tutorial Writer or Group Owner and would like linked on the Link pages, Please leave a comment with your Group or Website name, as well as your URL and I will get you listed.

If you are unsure how to post a comment. Just click comment at the end of this entry, then click the BLOG Cupcake to the left, and post as usual. :)

I'm sorry for the inconvienance this has brought my visitors and any confusion. But you will catch on really quick. ;)

Jelly Bean Lane has been in need of a face lift for a while to get away from the same ol' mundane BLah of the usual blogs. ;)

Hugs,
Rachel

Updating my blog

Well, if you have found your way here and you're a regular reader, then you have noticed I have started a long over due update on my blog.

First you will notice the welcome page, that has my TOU on the home page.
Secondly, you may see to the left the Link Tabs. Navigating through this style is a little differant than usual, as well as posting comments. So I will leave these instructions up for a couple of days while I finish the maintance on the site.

To View my archive of older posts, freebies and tutorials click ETC. Choose the month you want to browse through, then click Blog to the left.

To post a comment, click on where it says Comments, click blog, and then post as usual.

Very simple. :)

Would love to hear what you think of the new layout, and it would be a great opportunity for you to practice navigating through the site, as well as posting comments. ;)

If you're new here, and have found this confusing, I apologize, I just really wanted to set this up where my TOU and such were read first with my Welcome. ;0)

Hugs,
Rachel

Holy Cow!

Holy Cow, is it already March 22nd and already easter time?

The last two weeks have been uber hectic. I like staying busy and keeping my mind busy, but goodness, this is nuts.

Ok I have to rant about something real quick. The last few times I have logged on to my blog I have new comments. I love comments and apprecaite the conversation, so don't stop posting please.... But, what really annoys me , is it seems we're being plagued with people spamming our blogs with comments to "click" here etc, advertisments for porn, and dating services and what not. It tickes me off, and Im getting really tired of deleteing the comments. Some of them have viruses also, so becareful if you're getting these posts from people on your blogs.

Anyhoo, on to better things.

I have some easter freebies, I have been working on and saving for today, and here they are. :)

Set of Various Easter Bows featuring pastels, plaids and easter egg patterns.
You can snag them here

I will add the matching papers after a reboot. :)

Hugs,
Rachel

Happy Tuesday

Tuesday is not usually a very significant day , like Monday is Monday Madness or Misery for some... and Wednesday is Happy Hump Day, and friday is TGIF, and Satuday is WOOHOO it's the weekend day, and Sunday is the Lord's Day, but poor Tuesday and Thursday doesn't get credit for anything, they're just there I suppose. So today I am going to scout out some freebies. Yesterday I didn't get to list any of my own because I had a major shipment of supplies come in. I recieved my Lip balm tubes so I can restock on my lip butter. I got some new flavors in for that too. So some time day I am planning on making lip butter. The new flavors are Orange Cream Vanilla, Strawberry smoothie, Grape Soda, and Juicy Pineapple. I am dying to try the grape soda. I opened the bottle and sniffed it, and it smelled just like a freshly popped can of grape soda...psycologically, it made my nose tingle like soda bubbles do. ha ha So I am dying to try that, AND I am really wanting to try the new natural sweetener I got in for that. I have been using sacchrine, which is what commerical lip balm makers use. It's sweet enough, but anyone who has followed my Soaps 'N Suds blog and chatted with me often, knows that I am about natural ingredients and benefits, and sacchrine isn't natural or healthy. This new sweetener, is extracted from licorice root. Now before you turn your nose if you're like me and don't like licorice, it doesn't taste like licorice and licorice root is not the same. The flavor for black licorice comes from Anise, when you smell that, you will know what it resembles. lol haha... Licorice root is very healthy, great for the skin as an emollient and whatdayaknow.... it has a very naturally sweet flavor. I tasted a bit when I opened it yesterday and IT WAS DEFINATELY SWEEEEEET! Perfect, now to try it. ;)

I got alot of goodies in yesterday. I recieved my packaging for my shower gel, so I can list it on the website, half of the packaging for my ballerina butter. I was upset that I recieved the cosmetic jars and no lids. I can't hardly package with that. One little phone call to the bottling company fixed that problem. ;) .... AND , I got the one thing I have been dying to get out of everything. My ingredients for making foaming bath whip and foaming sugar scrub. OMG! I got it all yesterday and as soon as I checked the invoices and moved everything out of the way , I got busy.

I made the most heavenly Foaming Sugar Scrub Bath Frosting. This stuff is fantastic. Here is a picture I took for the store...

It looks like butter or buttercream frosting, I scented it in cupcake, and I whipped it up nice and fluffly with cocoa butter, shea butter, jojoba oil, vitamin e and Sugar Cane. I did a PH test strip on it and it tests at 5. Now with soap that is ok to use and safe for the skin it should test between 7 - 11 on a ph strip. over 11 it's to harsh and not good for you. This tested at 5, meaning it's perfect for your face. I tried it, and IT WAS FANTABULOUS!! I usually have to moisturize after I wash my face. Now, I've been in skin care for over 10 years now, and all of customers know that I preach a skin care regimen, meaning, wash, tone and moisturize twice a day!! Well.... that's because usually after you wash, the cleanser strips your skin of vital natural moisturizer, and you need to replenish that. This natural sugar scrub frosting I made yesterday was so soft, so silky, yet cleansed my skin and removed all of the make up, but left it smooth and soft, and I didn't have to moisturize at all!! YES, I went all day without moisturizer!! For the first time since I was 14, I didn't moisturize my face. UGH, it was great! The kids tried it and loved it, mom tried it and loved it. This stuff is great. So today if I have to get the stock of the sugar scrub up, and the lip butter. I need to design labels for them, so I will be posting links to others freebie's I find so you don't come here and walk away empty handed.

Check out the Store www.soaps-n-suds.com

The sugar scrubs are listed in the store under body butter, you can check it out here I will be listing new fragrances in the sugar scrub later today. I currenty have Milk Chocolate, Cupcake and Cinnabun listed. I made a cooling peppermint twist last night, that is heavenly. I used natural menthol and peppermint extracts and it's a great vapor body polish or face wash, because it opens your sinus' up if you have a cold. That helped me alot. And Today I should have cotton candy available. It's 4.99 for a 4 oz butter bowl. a little goes along way! Anyhoo, I am off to scout for freebies. ;)

Hugs,
Rachel

COMING SOON~~~~Burger Time Mini Kit

The kit will include two papers, a piece of cooridinating tape, and four stickers.
I'm making this kit for a picture of my son on his birthday, will post the pictures later. As soon as I get everything zipped up, I'll post it. Keep updated. ;)

Nathan's Big Bopper Giant Hamburger

You've seen the giant burgers on the "Burger Time" Scrap of Nathan's Hamburger, but here is a better view...

Here is the recipe:

1 Haiwiian Bread Loaf
2 lbs ground beef
4 eggs
Steak Seasonings
1 Large tomato sliced
6 Dill pickle stackers
1/2 onion sliced into rings
4 - 6 cheddar cheese slices
6-8 lettuce leaves
Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup

In a large bowl mix ground beef, eggs and steak seasons until full incooperated. Add steak seasoning to your preferance. Line a glass pie plate with wax paper and press hamburger mixture in to the edge of the pie plate, this will give you the size and shape of your burger. Carefully turn the giant meat patti out to a heated griddle, and allow to cook on medium -low heat until brown on one side. Turning the patty is the tricky part and takes a little skill. If you have a giant spatula you won't have any trouble. I used a thin dinner plate to carefully scoop the burger up and quickly turn it. Becareful of hot grease, I received a bad grease burn from some back splash once... ewww. Once the meat patty is flipped, let it cook until browned , then remove and place on a pizza pan and place in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 - 30 minutes to ensure the inside is completely done. Place your cooked meat patty on a halved haiwiian bread loaf and top it as desired. One of these burgers will feed a family. ;) I made three for Nathan's birthday and it fed five adults and four children and we still had an entire burger left over. lol

Thank you Digi Free!

Good morning and I hope this thursday is finding everyone in good spirits and feeling better than I am. Man, over the last few days I've been doing alot of "ketchup" on blog friends and everyone is talking about being sick and feeling yucky! Guess what!? Now I'm sick too. YUCK! Thank You Liz

Upon catching up on all I have missed out and attempting to reconnect with those I have lost touch with, I have been reviewing my links and permissions I've granted to PSPers, Tagers and designers for use of my work in their designs and tutorials. I want to thank those of you who have been so kind as to follow TOU and are still linking back to me.

I'm affraid I have been a rather lousy blogger since July of last year, but it was not something I could help. Hopefully I will be back on track in full soon.

I will be moving my Links to the other blog soon. This blog will remain intact and I will do the best to float both, But I am hoping that you all will add the other blog and the website to your webring in exchange for me doing the same. It helps me minimize the back and forth stuff so I can have all of my friends in one place, and brings attention to all of our websites. Webrings are important for getting our art and our designs out there. Alot of people want to charge us for linking on their page, when in reality, it's a favor we all do for each other, saves everyone time and money. We give away so many freebies to people, and so many do not even say thank you... it's always nice when someone is willing to help out and give a little back. :)

Liz, of Lizardesigns, thank you for maintaining you listing, kindess and fantastic designs and tutorials. I look forward to seeing more. I really enjoyed catching up on your site today.

If you are interested in seeing more of Lidardesigns Tutorials please follow the link in the right side bar to her site. She is a fantastic artist and fellow PSPer!

Rock on girl!

Blog Moving!!! Catch my new Link and Banner here

Well guys, I am moving my blog so I can do my Freebies and my Business and family blogging all in one spot!! I will be updating there much more often. It's just to difficult to be updating three differant blogs at once, because there is always one that gets neglected!!

If you have my old shopping back on your blog linking back here please remove it and replace it with the new banner. I will update to a new banner ever so often if you want a differant look....

Here is the Copy and Paste Box... just copy and paste the code into your blog where you put your links and favorite blogs... and you will be able to find me there.

Snag my Soaps 'N Suds Fight Club tag and paste it on your page. Email me with your link and I will do the same. ;)

Digital Scrap Booking Available at my website this week

Well, I know you guys have wondered where I went and what happened to my freebies. Those you have kept updated and sent me emails, I thank you for your kind words and checking in on me and the kids.

We are doing good now. The last few months proved to be trial after trial, and it feels as though the Lord has really blessed us greatly.

I haven't gotten to enjoy my scrapbooking as much as I would like, because since the divorce I have had to hold two and sometimes three jobs to make ends meet. That's about one job per kiddo. lol

I know I had talked for a while of just breaking down and having a professionally built website made, because jellybeanlane.com was a mistake. I bought the domain from a company that promised tech support and help building it, but they left me high and dry with instructions comparable to fixing a car. Sorry, but I'm a woman, and I know a little about my general car maintance, but not enough to understand webdesign instructions in comparason to car. UGH. THat was definately written by a man. lol

Anyhoo, for all of you out there that I had talked to, that had struggled with the same issue i was and had given up, there is a fantastic place out there that is very afforable and does your website and your store front for you, for 99.99 a month you get it all, and I mean ALL, plus a simple site builder for you to add your own touches too.

I urge everyone, Miss Pamela, if you haven't gotten your site yet, look into these folks, they have been fantastic!!! www.websitepros.com . They have been spectacular with their tech support. They built me a wonderful site ( which I went and completely redid for my personal touch... but theirs was wonderful too...), you get free business cards, free 24/7 tech support, free marketing, free banner ads, free google, yahoo, msn, local and nationwide search. Free emaila ddress, free store front included with your website. EVERYTHING! It's really worth looking into.

So what's at my store and in my website? Well, this week I am going to work on setting up my digital scrapbooking and hopefully soon, get to make new ones and I will be listing more Freebies again!! BUT..... What I am doing for a living is what I have enjoyed for years, and that is Organic Skin Care. I make natural soaps, lotions, bath bombs, bath bon bons, candles and you guessed it my love, Digi Art and Scrapbooking.

My blog spot has moved to compensate for the store, and if you already have me on your blog, please update it with my new one, there is where I will be posting all of my updates, AND all of my digi freebies, and coupons for savings on my store.
the blog spot is

http://soaps-n-suds.blogspot.com/
The website is
www.soaps-n-suds.com
Please do add me to your blog, and email me, so I can add you to mine. I would love to hear from everyone again and get those free downloads out there to you. I have so much to share.

If you're emailing my old email address and getting kicked back, it's because I lost it in the divorce and had to get a new one. To get my new address, just email me from my contact link at www.soaps-n-suds.com

I'd like to hear from everyone again.

I'll be posting a Coupon for the store momentarily, before I get started on listing the digital scrapbooking again, and getting in contact with all of those I enjoyed chatting with before.

Hugs,
Rachel
